My discontent with analog and Digital note taking.
I am a little bit of a note-taking freak. I love to have a notebook or 3 on hand for ideas, tracking progress, etc. This said, I can also recognize the fact these analog solutions do not cover all of my use cases, especially tracking small tasks that have to happen over and over again day after day, week after week. The friction I'm currently dealing with is the separation of these two techniques.
Since notes go in one of two places, there is a necessary inefficiency in making them in both places, and I feel like I'm almost spending as much time trying to optimize this process as I am actually using these systems for something practical and beneficial. I've tried digital note taking on a tablet and that didn't do it for me either, though that might have more to do with the fact that I cannot write cleanly enough for most computers' OCR setups to parse.
Moving forward I'll continue to puzzle through how to make these in their own way duelling systems function as one greater whole for me, but it feels like I'm doomed to some level of this being a broken system for the time being.
